Speaking of garden gnomes, is it true that there's a radical free-the-garden-gnomes group in France that occasionally gnomenaps them in an attempt to free them from their servitude, or am I imagining such a thing?

Since visiting Greek Macedonia and listening to my friends' paranoid nationalistic rants about Albanians, Skopje-ians and Turks, I wouldn't put it past them.

Some eyars ago I attended the gala opeing of a Macedonian Studies conference at Columbia. In attendece was the patriarch of the Macdonian Orthodox Church in America. Some men in traditional Greek costume (of medeival peasants, I mean, not Chitones)--they had been giving a folk dancing display--had a little shoving match with some of his handlers. She has very beautiful, fair skin for her age! I wish mine was as good both Before C. and A.C. However; I prefer complete legs to perfect skin after having been dug up. What is that in the middle? ...carrots? Seems a strange place for both: vegetables and gals like these.

Fingers? This is revolting! What on earth are they doing there? But, on second thought, lingam-formed vegetables (unboiled, presumably) wouldn´t much improve the impression.
