Sesame Street
Oct. 2nd, 2006 08:23 pmToday on Sesame Street we saw an episode of Law & Order. Muppet-Kragen sent out Muppet-Munch to arrest the letter M., But he mistakenly brought back a mallard because it begins with an M.
I asked rhetorically, 'What sex crime is the letter M guilty of?' (correctly palcing the 'of' at the end of the sentence beucase the construction is analagous to other well-known Indo-European syntax such as separable-prefix verbs in German and Homeric Greek, rather than governed by the strictures of classical Latin which requires a separate object for every preposition).
But my wife answered, 'Masochism.'
