Palin again

 Here is link to a fairly interesting blog concerning linguistics, and a particular entry that includes a video clip from the Daily show in which Republican talking heads are shown praising Palin with the exact same words they earlier used to attack Democrats. One wonders why this kind of thing isn't shown on actually news shows, it is far more incisive than anything I do see them deal with.

'The high level of hypocrisy among these conservative commentators': as if commentators and politicians of every hue didn't do exactly the same! It's a fundamental feature of political discourse in any democracy to use the same arguments or expressions for one person or against another according to the occasion; and for people only to object when people from the other side do that. Which is itself a pernicious form of hypocrisy.
