From the Classics List:
Members of the list will be saddened to learn that one of the world's greatest Hellenists, Sir Kenneth Dover (Chancellor of the University of St Andrews
1981-2005 and earlier Professor of Greek, 1955-76), died on the 7th March, just a few days before his 90th birthday. I do not yet have information about arrangements for the funeral.
Dover was the main inspiration for me to become a classicist.
