It won't mean much if you haven't been following the strip, but it is noteworthy that all of the main characters in the strip are concert musicians, fist tier ballet dancers, or university professors (they all met through Julliard), and the uneducated are occasionally ridiculed in it.
But in this particular strip the female character is wearing a dress that is a modernized version of the dress frequently worn by Khnopff's sister in his portraits of her.
