Now that Andrew is going to become a cousin, he's more interested in the process of pregnancy than he was a few years ago when I was expecting Madeline and he was only two.

Yesterday, he had this discussion with Malkhos.

"I have a baby mecha-Godzilla growing in my tummy," he told his father. "It's going to come out of a hole I have in my body that hasn't closed up yet."

"I think robots are assembled in factories, Andrew," Malkhos told him. "Your cousin-to-be is human. Only animals gestate."

"When mecha-Godzilla gets big enough, he'll come out," Andrew assured him.

A Ridley Scott protege if ever there was one.

Oh, he is interesting, all right. You never know what he might say. If I could remember a synopsis of a story he recounted about the Greeks one day while we were taking a walk, I would. The story went in about twenty different directions and included the mythos of about three different historical periods. I do remember it had Trojans, mermaids, skeletons, and the Green Goblin (of the Spidermanseries.
