Dinner Conversation Last Night

"If you keep cramming food in your mouth like that, people will think you are a Sarmatian or Gepid!

"If we took you to a resturuant, people would stare and say, "My God! That child must be an Avar!'"


"Now what will you do with so much butter on your fingers? Smear it in your hair like a Lomabrd?"

It did not seem to amuse anyone except me.

Malkhos is always amusing himself with his cleverness even if it's at the children's expense. I always find myself saying things like, "These children have no idea what you're talking about" although A., the elder child, tends to emulate Malkhos's diction. It is rather amusing to hear a four-year-old talk like an old man.
