Kultur

Long ago Yahoo destroyed a huge cache of photos we stored on-line with them—no accident or anything, their policy just changed and there was no long anyway to view or download anything but thumbnails. Recently however, another web-service has made it possible to rescue these lost photos. I have placed one folder of them on the web. The folder was called Kultur, and I suppose I thought the images reflected the ideals of aristocratic life in Wilhelmine Germany—even the aristocratic view of peasant culture--but really I don’t recall collecting it, or where any of the images came from. Here is a sample: And the link: http://picasaweb.google.com/Anebo10/Kultur

No, the one just above with the scattered papers and broken bottles. (I didn't know about the dew from the cowpats though!)

I could make up something pretty interesting, I suspect, but I have no real idea.

That kind of teatment of landscape seems to have been popular though:

"Teatment" would be rather appropriate to the second picture.
