Malkhos would do something exactly like you did with the movie. He'll often refer to an event that happened weeks or months ago as though it happened yesterday. However, since I have so much anecdotal evidence on the comments of this post, I'll just accept that's the way some people's minds work and stop worrying about possible early onset of Alzheimer's disease.
